During the session Hanna framed the bigger sustainability perspective beautifully. - Usually we talk about what we need to do.
But the GLOW4equality-program tells us HOW we do it.

Personal impact story from the coaching program

Sophie Redemptah is the manager of Imbeke Charitable Trust, a rural based organisation in Western Kenya, that work with the community through women groups in the sectors of food security, economic empowerment, education, health and shelter. All these five sectors of interventions are towards gender inequality in our community. They have a special focus on vulnerable girls and teenage mothers, from ages 13 to about 24 years old. Girls and young women rescued from child labour, gender violence, forced early marriages, forced sex work effects of poverty, effects of school dropouts and sometimes FGM, Female Genital Mutilation.

- My coach helped me to see myself more clearly, Sophie Redemptah describes. Previously, I had thrown my whole self into my work and I was never thinking of myself as a person. But Anette taught me to the extent, that it enabled me to do a lot of self-reflection and to understand my values better. My coach did not push her ideas to my goals, but she helped me find my own answers within my own self.

- I am much more assertive, Sophie emphasizes. It made me feel more appreciated, especially by my fellow coachees. It has enabled me to appreciate myself and the work that I am doing, and I know what I am doing is not small. So I brought my whole work self to the coaching program and it changed me quite a bit!
