Preparing impact measurement with professionals: Reach for Change

Reach for Change and one of their Impact Managers were assigned to identify and define GLOW4equlity's work towards impact measurement. Impact results chain, outputs, outcomes and what we actually intend for to happen… overall a very interesting process that left us with new insights and specific steps moving forward.

Putting a team together and let everyone do what they are best is key to success. Regarding measuring the impact GLOW4equality intends for, we wanted to work with professionals, and Reach for change was an easy choice.

Reach for Change is an international non-profit founded in Sweden, leading a global movement of social entrepreneurs who create a better world for children and youth. They are working towards their vision by finding local social entrepreneurs and empowering them to develop and scale innovative solutions. Reach for Change run development programs for social entrepreneurs and among other things have a special unit for Impact measurement.

Our coaching programs are strongly connected the UNs Sustainable Development Goal number 5, Gender Equality and underlying targets. To break that down and measure impact out of our activities and intended results, GLOW4equality turned to Reach for Change. The aim of Reach for change’s assignment was to give GLOW4equality support in its work to prepare for measuring its effect. The purpose was to build a basic framework and understanding for GLOW4equality to be able to move forward to measure their effect, both by quality and quantity.
